2. What data Fairexa holds
Account details, the money records you create, group membership and chat, security and device details, and diagnostics such as server logs and crash reports. The full list is in the Privacy Policy.
3. Your rights and how to use them
Access and portability: export your data from Settings in the app.
Correction: edit your profile and your records in the app at any time.
Deletion: delete your account from the app. There is a 30-day window to restore it, after which your personal data is deleted.
Objection and withdrawing consent: turn notifications off, turn off optional bank-alert detection on Android, revoke sessions, and decline analytics cookies on this website.
For anything the app does not offer, such as a request to access, correct or delete data in another way, write to care@farexa.com.
4. What happens when you delete
Deleted expenses, income, payments, groups, messages and attachments are removed after 30 days. Server logs are kept for 30 days.
Records that other people rely on, such as shared expenses and group chat, stay in the group with your name replaced by “Deleted user”.
5. Who can see your data
Your income, income sources and personal budgets are private to you. Members of a group can see that group’s expenses, payments, edit history and chat.
Your data is not sold, and no third-party advertising network is used. Service providers only receive what they need: push notification delivery through Google Firebase Cloud Messaging and Apple Push Notification service, an e-mail service for codes and reports, and a public exchange-rate service that receives only currency codes.
6. How your data is protected
Passwords are stored as salted hashes. Sign-in sessions expire and can be revoked from Settings. You can add two-factor sign-in, a PIN or biometrics. Uploaded files are served only to authorised users.
7. Website cookies and analytics
This website asks before using analytics cookies. Until you accept, no analytics cookies are set and analytics storage stays off. If you accept, we use Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics to count visits, clicks and time on page so we can improve the site. We do not send your name, e-mail address or message text to analytics.
Your choice is stored on your device. You can change it by clearing this site’s data in your browser, which brings the choice back.
8. Local law
Depending on where you live, laws such as the UAE Personal Data Protection Law or the EU General Data Protection Regulation may give you additional rights. Which laws apply to Fairexa, and the hosting country and transfer safeguards, are to be confirmed before publication.
